Nintendo Switch Sports: Data
Switch Sports appears after over a decade finally the successor of the popular Wii Sports and Nintendo Wii Sports Resorts. As Gamesradar reported, the DataMiner WipeoutJack7 made known on Twitter that basketball and peoples ball could also find their way into the sports game. There are snippets that suggest that it will give both sports, with an online and offline version exists in peoples ball. However, there is currently no confirmation as to whether these games will be added free of charge or as DLC later. Currently, six mini-games are confirmed to the launch: Tennis, Bowling and Chambara (Kendo). Newly added are football, volleyball and badminton. Golf is to be supplied in autumn 2022 in a second update.
Another Twitter user named OatMealDome realized that the sports basketball and peoples ball indicate in text form, but no data is stored. Therefore, at the moment we do not know if the mini-games may be painted during development or later be submitted, in whatever form. The collected data is largely from the playtest to Nintendo Switch Sports, which took place almost two weeks ago. Meanwhile, Nintendo Switch online members in a demo were able to antest the game. The impressions were largely positive. On Reddit many testers expressed positive, but also saw room for improvements.
Switch Sports will be released on April 29 exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
