For six months, the prices for video cards fell by 57%

The popular VideoCardz portal has collected statistics on the prices of video cards since the beginning of 2022. Over the past six months, graphic accelerators have been constantly cheaper-since January their average price has fallen by 57%. And in June, a drop in bo-cards fell to 20%.

The resource believes that the main reason for reducing prices lies in the collapse of the cryptocurrency market, especially from Ethereum miners. Mining participated up to 30% of gaming video cards.

Another reason for the portal experts call the unwillingness of players to purchase a series of NVIDIA RTX 30XX and Radeon RX 6000, as the RTX 40XX and Radeon RX 7000 announcement is expected in the near future.

And the third reason is a difficult economic situation around the world. People became trite not up to heavy games for which a powerful video card is required.

Naturally, this analyst is relevant for Western markets. In Russia, retail chains are still holding a price tag for video cards high.
